Joy Skjegstad
is a national speaker, author and consultant on nonprofit management and ministry development. She has over 30 years of experience starting and growing nonprofits and church-based community ministry programs, including serving as Executive Director of the Park Avenue Foundation at Park Avenue United Methodist Church, and as President of the Sanctuary Community Development Corporation. She founded the Institute for Ministry Leaders, a university-based program that builds management capacity for ministry. She has held a variety of other leadership positions with nonprofits in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

Heidi Unruh
supports God’s people in living out their calling to love their neighbors, as a writer, trainer and coach. An alumna of Palmer Seminary, Heidi develops training tools and practical resources to support community outreach. She enjoys working with leadership teams to develop gift-based, effective processes for ministry. With a special interest in faith and work initiatives, poverty issues, and asset-based approaches to ministry, Heidi helps churches walk with vulnerable families to be safe, sufficient, positively connected and confident in God’s plan for their future. She lives in Hutchinson, KS.
